Modern Slavery Policy

Decora Blind Systems Ltd has over 40 years’ experience in designing, engineering, manufacturing and distributing blind products to made to measure and wholesale markets.

 

This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the “Act”) and sets out the steps that Decora Blind Systems Ltd has taken and is continuing to take to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain.

 

The Act requires certain businesses to provide disclosure concerning their efforts to address the prevention of slavery and human trafficking in their supply chains. Our supply chain includes companies who supply materials and components for the use in the production of blinds.

 

Decora Blind Systems Ltd is committed to ensuring a proactive approach to ensure the highest standard of ethical trading, integrity and transparency within our supply chain. We are committed to implementing controls to ensure that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chain within our business, consistent with our obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (MSA). The Company also expects the same high standards of all its suppliers. In accordance with our obligations, Decora Blind Systems Ltd require suppliers to complete an annual Supplier Evaluation Questionnaire.

 

Decora Blind Systems Ltd operates a preferred supplier database and conducts due diligence on all suppliers before allowing them to become a preferred supplier. All suppliers and subcontractors are required to confirm that no part of their business operations contradicts this statement or breaches the Act. We will only trade with those who fully comply and may terminate the contract at any time should any instances of slavery and human trafficking become apparent.

 

All reported incidents are managed though a formal process to understand and address the issue, as appropriate. In the event that Decora Blind Systems Ltd becomes aware of any actions regarding a supplier not in compliance it reserves the right to demand corrective measures.

 

We operate a Modern Slavery internal policy to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. All employees are expected to respect the human rights and dignity of all people. However apart from an operations questionnaire upon induction, the Company does not currently maintain internal procedures for employees regarding slavery and human trafficking specifically. We have dedicated HR and supply-chain teams to facilitate any employee issues and to audit suppliers.

 

Decora Blind Systems Ltd provide information and guidance so that staff understand the signs of slavery and human trafficking and know the action to take if they suspect that it could be occurring.

 

This statement has been approved by our Board of Directors, who will review and update it as necessary. This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
