Data and Reporting Manager

We are seeking a Data and Reporting Manager to work as part of our IT Team based in Lisburn.

The Data and Reporting Manager will be responsible for managing a small team, with the objective of providing support for business reporting systems, business intelligence systems and data warehouse.  The successful candidate will oversee the Power BI rollout project across the business, including migration from existing legacy reporting tools.

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 2pm (37.5 hours per week)

Location: Lisburn, BT28 2FL

 

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Manage the Reporting team to ensuring tasks and projects are completed efficiently.
  • Provide support for the Company’s various reports and BI dashboards for business users.
  • Support and develop the Company’s Data Warehouse.
  • Work with other departments to identify reporting / data requirements and solutions.
  • Assist with the specification, testing and implementation of data, reporting and BI systems.
  • Create reports and dashboards to fulfil requests using tools such as Crystal Reports, Qlikview and Power BI.
  • Manage data sources and create data structures to support reporting and analysis needs.
  • Liaise with third party development / support providers.
  • Assist with data integration projects between platforms and systems.
  • Query databases to analyse data and produce information.
  • Ensuring data validation and integrity.
  • Undertake project work as agreed.
  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
Essential requirements
  • Third level IT Qualification
  • At least 3 year’s relevant experience in an IT reporting or data role.
  • Excellent understanding of relational databases, in particular MS SQL Server.
  • Experience in working with Data Warehouses.
  • Firm understanding of SQL query language.
  • Good level of experience with Microsoft Power BI.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willing to be flexible in terms of working hours to meet the requirements of the role.
Desirable requirements
  • Experience of managing or mentoring other staff members.
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in working with ERP systems, in particular Microsoft Dynamics Nav.
  • Experience in using any of the following reporting tools:
    • Crystal Reports
    • Qlikview
    • SSRS/SSIS/SSAS
